Giallo Veniziano Granite Worktop
A lovely Giallo Veniziano granite worktop
Giallo veniziano is one of the durable, colourful and variably grained granite stone that is extracted from Brazil. There are several purposes for that this stone is used but it is popular for kitchen worktops, fireplace, floor, terrace and fašade. Giallo veniziano is also famous by several other names like Cinnamon Sand, Giallo Veneciano and Amarelo Veneciano.
Along the Atlantic coast in Brazil there is a state called Espirito Santo that is located in Northeast direction of Rio de Janerio from where Giallo veniziano granite was extracted from a bedrock quarry. The name of this granite is to some extent inspired from the city called Nova Venecia around that Giallo veniziano is found in abundance. In one of the paper it was reported that as per the current market demand of granite Giallo veniziano quarry in Brazil is substantially found rich in stock that can easily serve the next five hundred years of demand if current supply rate will be maintained.
It is formed by similar process like other granite stones all over the world and its production took place during Precambrian period
In general all granite stones are robust and durable, withstand at any temperature but it is porous in nature even after the application of sealant and polish. There is one issue that is associated with Giallo veniziano is it loses its lustre easily due to excessive weathering but it remains as hard and durable as other granite stones for several years. This is one of the reasons that experts at Granite4Less recommend honed finish Giallo veniziano granite worktops over polish finished.
On the cleaning and maintenance part sealant application is required at least for once in every one or two years. But for cleaning non-abrasive solutions are strongly recommended because any acid containing cleaner can cause discolouration and other chemical reactions by getting into its tiny pores.
